While Odin was studying how to take his Nen to the next level, the octopus drawing patterns finished its preparations.
The points of light in the air formed a massive ring, at least fifty meters in diameter, hovering above Odin's head.
Various geometric patterns appeared on the ring-triangles, squares, and hexagons, layered over one another.
The patterns rotated, picking up speed.
What's that? Whatever. I'll memorize it first.
By memorizing it, Odin did not mean just remembering the patterns. He committed the energy nodes within those patterns to memory as well.
He also possessed starry sky Nen, and his control was excellent. Now that he knew these patterns, he could reproduce this move too.
In fact, it might well be even easier for him.
With a hum, a circular wormhole opened in the center of the ring.
The wormhole's edges were smooth, as though they had been cut with a laser.
The other side was pitch-black, seemingly bottomless.
"A portal?" Odin stared at the wormhole in astonishment.
The octopus ignored Odin, because it could not understand him.
It merely swept its tentacles gently, guiding the process.
As the octopus moved, the patterns on the ring changed.
The original geometric patterns vanished, replaced by densely packed points of light.
The points flickered on the ring like stars.
Suddenly, Odin detected some sort of high-energy reaction on the other side of the portal.
Humm-
The portal abruptly fired a beam of light straight at Odin.
A laser cannon?
Puzzled, Odin casually stepped aside, avoiding the blast.
Boom-
The shot annihilated a large chunk of rock beneath Odin's feet.
It was as though someone had bitten a piece out of it out of thin air.
Even Odin frowned at that power.
Naturally, he was not worried about any of this. He had the
