"Come on, Gon. Let's go try something else." Killua called to Gon and started to leave, only for the Cat Manager to stop them.
"Please pay your bill," the Cat Manager said with a cheerful smile.
Gon and Killua asked in surprise, "Pay for what? Didn't we beat the challenge?"
"The noodles are free, but the soda isn't," the Cat Manager said, pointing to the two empty glasses on their table.
Killua and Gon nodded. That was fair enough. They took out a ten-thousand-Jenny banknote and handed it over.
"What's this?" The Cat Manager looked blankly at the Jenny banknote.
"Huh? It's money, obviously. Hurry up and give us our change. We've got other things to do," Killua urged impatiently.
"This is what money looks like here." Odin took out a ten-thousand-Jenny card and handed it over.
The Cat Manager accepted the card, and the furious expression that had been brewing vanished at once.
Odin paid the bill, including Gon's and Killua's sodas.
"So that's what money looks like here," Gon remarked.
Thump-
"Ow! Killua, what was that for?!" Gon clutched his head and protested.
"What was it for?" Killua snapped. "You idiot! If we can't use the money we brought, that means we have to earn more. Do you get it?"
"What's the big deal?" Gon said with an unconcerned smile.
Killua had no comeback. After taking a moment to recover, he looked at Odin. "Thanks. We'll pay you back for those two sodas along with the two billion."
"It's nothing. I can afford to treat you to a couple of sodas," Odin said generously, waving a hand.
"Then-"
"You can pay back the two billion once you have the money. I won't rush you," Odin said, smiling at Killua.
This brat actually wanted to weasel out of paying?
