The two Toad Sages couldn't stand Jiraiya's racket and gave him a hefty slap to shut him up, only to start bickering over trivial matters themselves.

"I still have to go home and cook. Deep-fried caterpillars..."

"I still have to watch the kids do their homework..."

Blah, blah, blah. But all Jiraiya heard was a chorus of ribbits.

Jiraiya knew summoning the two sages so abruptly was a bit of an imposition, but they were in the middle of fighting an enemy here! And their opponents were Pain, wielders of the Rinnegan!

Sure enough, Pain wasn't about to listen to anyone's domestic chatter. Strike first and gain the advantage; strike late and suffer for it.

In the blink of an eye, the Human Path rushed straight at Jiraiya, hoping to catch him off guard, only to get kicked away. Jiraiya might have been listening to the two toads ribbit away, but he had kept his eyes on the enemies before him the whole time.

One kick sent the Human Path flying and even knocked his nose crooked.

"Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit! Nice work, little Jiraiya! Seriously, trying to ambush us? Kick his ass!"

Big Sis Shima was as hot-tempered as ever.

As for the Human Path-good grief. His nose, already held in place by black rods, had been kicked completely crooked. Though the Human Path was only a corpse, the visual impact was something else. (Ouch, just looking at it made you wince.)

With one opponent knocked down, Jiraiya took a breath.

"Whew, got him, got him. That's one. Now it's your turn."

With that, Jiraiya unleashed Ninjutsu at the Pains.

"Sage Art: Goemon!"

Toad oil, Wind Release, and Fire Release combined into a wide-ranging AOE attack. Everything it swept over sizzled, a testament to its intense heat.
