After the chakra dragon pierced Obito's body, Nagato breathed his last, and the chakra dragon vanished moments later.
Only Nagato's corpse and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path remained.
"Did we win?" Konan sat on her knees, not even realizing that tears covered her face.
Now she was all alone. The companions she had once known had all left her.
Konan knew Nagato had been atoning for his sins, but right now, she was overwhelmed with grief.
"Nagato, Yahiko, we won, but it hurts so much. My heart hurts..."
Just then, space warped, and Obito reappeared. His other eye slowly turned white.
He raised his hand, seized Konan by the throat, and lifted her into the air.
Disbelief spread across Konan's face. How could the man they had risked their lives to kill now stand before her, completely unharmed?
"You really are terrifying. You even forced me to use my trump card. But in the end, I'm still the winner."
With that, he killed Konan without hesitation.
Surveying the devastation around him, Obito slowly walked over to Nagato and removed both of his Rinnegan.
"Well, well, Obito, that was really dangerous. I never imagined Nagato could unleash such tremendous power at the very end."
Black and White Zetsu appeared and accepted the two Rinnegan Obito handed over.
"There was no helping it. The Rinnegan cost Nagato everything. Even as a member of the Uzumaki Clan, he couldn't withstand their corrosive effects."
Obito murmured, glancing once more at Nagato, who lay on the ground.
Now my pawn is gone. This really is a bit of a problem.
"Let's go."
Obito vanished on the spot.
