After Kabuto Yakushi successfully robbed the graves in Konoha, his ego went through the roof. This was Konoha, after all. Digging up graves here was nothing like doing it anywhere else.
Konoha was known as the cradle of geniuses. There was the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, who had conquered the world with his Wood Release, and Madara Uchiha, who had founded Konoha alongside Hashirama and earned the title Asura of the Ninja World. Then there was the Second Hokage, Hashirama Senju's younger brother Tobirama Senju, who couldn't use fire release ninjutsu but had outrageously powerful water release ninjutsu, as well as Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash, and many, many more...
Every one of them had defined an era. But now? They were dead and gone, and without them, Konoha was no longer powerful. The fact that someone could even dig up the village's graves made it clear that Konoha had fallen into decline.
"Heh heh heh, Lord Orochimaru, I'll soon be catching up to you."
Kabuto Yakushi adjusted his glasses, a look of longing spreading across his face. Soon, he would be able to prove himself to Lord Orochimaru...
At last, after graves were dug up in one major ninja village after another, someone in the villages other than Konoha finally realized something was wrong.
"Why do people keep digging up graves lately? Have they got no decency?" one village elder grumbled.
"Exactly! Who on earth is doing this?" another village elder chimed in.
"Number Three, why aren't you saying anything?"
"Hmm... I keep feeling there's more to this than meets the eye. I heard Konoha once had a particularly outrageous ninjutsu that could supposedly bring back the dead. Could these recent grave robberies in the major ninja villages have something to do with Konoha?"
"What? Bring back the dead?
