Picking up where we left off, Deidara was rather embarrassed and angry after Naruto's Shadow Clones made a fool of him. The guy in front of him was blond too, and everything about him rubbed Deidara the wrong way.
"No way. There can only be one blond, and that's me." Already irritated at the sight of Naruto, Deidara attacked without hesitation.
"C1: Clay Spiders!" Deidara hurled out a swarm of clay spiders. Naruto instinctively backed away, but these spiders could track him.
With nowhere left to dodge, Naruto took the full brunt of the attack. At the sight, a twisted grin spread across Deidara's face.
"Hahaha! You little brat, now you know how strong I am!" The thunderous explosions filled Deidara with confidence, but he failed to notice the faint, scornful smile on Naruto's face just as the clay spiders exploded.
Sure enough, the Naruto who had been hit burst into a cloud of smoke with a pop. Another Shadow Clone.
That really sent Deidara over the edge.
"Why is it another Shadow Clone?" Watching one Naruto after another appear, Deidara was thoroughly sick of it. He couldn't kill them all, and even the ones he killed might not be the real one. It was infuriating.
Deidara vaguely remembered that the last time he had been this annoyed was... the last time.
Unable to take it anymore, Deidara stopped trying so hard. If Naruto wanted to play with clones, he would play with clones too.
"You rotten little brat! If you're that determined to die, don't blame me. Clay Clone!"
The two mouths in Deidara's palms chewed continuously. Before long, they spat out a large lump of clay, which writhed a few times before gradually forming several Deidaras.
