On the outskirts of the Chu Yun Empire, Xiao Fan and Yun Yun headed toward Tianrong City.
Tianrong City, the Imperial Capital of the Chu Yun Empire, lay in the empire's heartland. Quite a few small and medium-sized factions had established themselves around it. Normally, no nation would tolerate other factions around its capital, especially insignificant small fry that its imperial family could wipe out with a wave of its hand. Yet the Chu Yun Empire Imperial Family had never acted against them, allowing them to remain.
Still, these factions knew their place. They all understood how terrifying the Chu Yun Empire Imperial Family was, and none would court death by provoking it. Thus, they rarely did anything that crossed its bottom line, merely clashing among themselves from time to time.
"We should reach Tianrong City in another day."
On a hilltop, Xiao Fan tore a hind leg off the magical beast roasting over the fire and handed it to Yun Yun. Then he bit into the remaining meat in his hand and spoke while studying the map spread on the ground.
Yun Yun accepted the beast leg and ate in small bites. She had to admit that Xiao Fan's roast meat tasted just as delicious as it had back in the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
Xiao Fan soon finished his meat and wiped the grease from the corners of his mouth. Then he watched Yun Yun eat with quiet enjoyment. Beautiful people looked graceful even when eating.
The beast leg was not large, but Yun Yun could only finish half of it. She passed it to Xiao Fan with a practiced motion, then watched him wolf it down.
