Yun Yun remained where she was, utterly composed even under the combined assault of three Dou Wangs. Yet she could not inflict any fatal damage on them. Whenever she moved to kill one, the other two would briefly share some of the damage, leaving her attacks just short of what she needed.
"The Snake-People Tribe's joint formation is rather interesting."
It was not that she could not kill them, but forcing the issue would cost Yun Yun dearly enough to make it a poor bargain. Besides, killing these Dou Wangs would only earn her the Snake-People Tribe's undying hatred. There was nothing to gain, and it was not worth the risk.
As Yun Yun fought them, she sensed the auras in the distance and murmured, "Two more Dou Wangs?"
Five Dou Wangs, coupled with the Snake-People Tribe's coordinated combat method, would be troublesome even for her.
"It looks like I should leave too."
She had only stayed to give Gu He and the other two an opportunity to pursue their targets. Now that she had bought them enough time, remaining here for a pointless fight was hardly worthwhile. With that thought, Yun Yun raised her hands slightly.
"Wind Rain!"
An enormous circular wind formation took shape overhead, enclosing Yue Mei and the other two. Just as the three braced themselves, Yun Yun flickered out of sight and broke through their encirclement, leaving behind only a slightly playful remark.
"Fooled you."
Unable to contain their fury at being toyed with by Yun Yun, the three shot into the distance. "After her!"
Beneath the azure sky, the sun baked even the air until it burned. Two figures streaked through the sky, the tremendous wind pressure in their wake carving two deep trails through the desert. Shortly afterward, three more figures flew past.
