After refusing the Grand Minister's invitation,
the frustration that had weighed on Vegeta's heart for so long finally vanished.
He no longer dwelled on victory or defeat in the Arena, nor agonized over momentary gains and losses.
Only one crystal-clear thought remained in his mind: to keep growing stronger.
To surpass everything in his own way, to push beyond his limits.
Behind him, Goku's carefree voice kept ringing out.
"Vegeta, wait for me! Where are you going?"
Vegeta's brow furrowed almost imperceptibly, but he did not turn around.
"Where else? To get something to eat."
"Then I'm coming too. I'm starving."
"Hmph. Come if you want, just keep quiet."
Goku immediately followed with a grin, utterly unbothered by his cold attitude.
To him, nothing could be better than enjoying a satisfying fight, then sharing a huge meal with Vegeta.
The two entered the spacious Buffet Hall, one behind the other.
The hall was bright and roomy, and quite a few eliminated contestants and hungry spectators were still enjoying the food there.
The serving stations were laden with all kinds of premium ingredients.
Huge cuts of roast meat glistened with fat and gave off a rich aroma; fruits brimming with pure energy shone with a gentle glow. There were also savory stews simmered until the meat was tender, freshly baked bread, and all sorts of delicacies Vegeta could not name.
The aromas wafting toward them instantly whetted the two big eaters' appetites.
They strode toward the section with the richest selection and began choosing their food.
"I'm taking this biggest serving of roast meat." Vegeta reached out and pulled a heaping platter of meat in front of him.
"Huh? I want that too. Give me half." Goku had already set his sights on that platter, only for Vegeta to claim it
