The dazzling light made it impossible to keep their eyes open.
An enormous mushroom cloud rose into the air, and thick smoke filled the entire Arena.
"Jiren!!!" Below the stage, Toppo paled in shock.
Had Jiren been defeated by that attack?
"No, absolutely not. How could Jiren lose so easily? He hasn't even used his full strength yet."
A moment later, the smoke cleared.
Under everyone's expectant gazes, Jiren's figure emerged.
His shirt had been completely blasted away. Bruises covered his body, and a trickle of bright red blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.
He raised a hand to wipe away the blood and stared coldly at Goku in the distance. "Hmph. Don't get carried away just because your power has increased."
Goku looked at him, his eyes still perfectly calm as silver flames of energy rose around him. "Yeah, I knew you'd be all right."
The two were talking past each other, not even remotely on the same wavelength.
"Hah!!!" Jiren roared. His Ki surged once more, and he launched another assault on Goku.
He moved at high speed, throwing rapid punches and kicks.
Goku moved with effortless grace, automatically evading Jiren's attacks.
After a dizzying series of attacks, Goku landed another two punches on Jiren's chest.
The tremendous force of his blows burst out through Jiren's back, shattering space itself.
Yet Jiren acted as though nothing had happened, showing no intention of stopping his assault.
He suddenly leaped high into the air and raised both hands overhead. A red Energy Sphere swelled rapidly, soon becoming a massive wave of energy dozens of meters across.
Then he swung both arms down.
