A green healing aura enveloped Onyx.
Warmth seeped through every part of his body, rapidly soothing the wounds left by the fierce battle and healing him in moments.
Onyx regained consciousness at once. He pushed himself up off the ground and instinctively turned toward Broly in the center of the Arena.
It was as though he had just escaped a suffocating nightmare.
He let out a heavy breath, and his taut body finally relaxed.
Thank goodness. That nightmare was finally over, and so was my run in the tournament. I won't have to face that terrifying figure again.
On the Arena, Broly cast him a sidelong glance. The surging aura around him instantly subsided, and his wild golden hair gradually faded back to its usual tame black.
With his battle form gone, Broly's eyes became innocent and blank. Standing on the empty Arena, he looked rather clueless, with none of the ferocity of a Demon God descending upon the world. Instead, he looked like an honest, simple-minded giant.
But after experiencing that life-and-death battle, Onyx no longer dared underestimate him in the slightest.
He knew all too well that beneath this seemingly straightforward man's exterior lurked the most terrifying combat instincts. He was a battle-crazed maniac through and through, and provoking him would have unimaginable consequences.
Onyx dared not linger any longer. He turned and left the Arena area.
Just then, the virtual Announcer's rousing voice rang through the entire venue, drowning out the scattered conversations.
"Ladies and gentlemen, after many rounds of fierce battles, this World Martial Arts Tournament has finally reached its most exciting moment! The eagerly awaited contest for first, second, and third place is about to begin!"
