It's just the Z Sword. How could I fail to pull it out?
Son Gohan thought confidently.
With his current strength, he was far stronger than the Son Gohan who had neglected his training and struggled even to turn Super Saiyan 2.
There was no reason that guy could pull it out while he couldn't.
If that really happened, what was the point of training so hard?
He might as well give up and slack off.
Son Gohan smiled. "It's a deal."
Supreme Kai and Kibito were happily enjoying their food too.
Their little schemes were ticking away in their heads.
After a while, Supreme Kai asked, "When do you plan to pull out the Z Sword, Mr. Gohan?"
Why are these two suddenly in such a hurry? Son Gohan found their expressions rather amusing. "In a little while."
Then he added, "King Kai, aside from the Z Sword, do you have any other fine swords? My little brother really wants one too."
Supreme Kai thought of Trunks, then said, "Of course. I have another sword here called the Hero's Sword. It grants its wielder great confidence and courage. It's another exceptional blade, and I'm sure he'll like it."
As Supreme Kai spoke, he opened his right hand, and a longsword appeared in it.
"Here." He handed it to Son Gohan.
Son Gohan took the longsword and drew it from its sheath with a metallic ring.
"What a fine sword! Truly a fine sword!"
The blade was exceptionally sharp, gleaming with a cold light. Son Gohan liked it at first sight, and he figured Trunks would too.
Although he had already asked North Kai for a sword, he still hadn't received it.
Besides, surely something from Supreme Kai would be of a higher grade than something from North Kai?
There was no need to keep waiting for that sword.
Clang! The longsword slid back into its sheath.
Son Gohan smiled. "Thank you, Supreme Kai."
With that, he put away the Hero's Sword.
A short while later, Supreme Kai also gave him a huge chunk of katchin that looked to weigh several tons.
Son Gohan asked Supreme Kai and Kibito to wait for him at the dessert shop, then took the longsword and the katchin to find Bulma.
Seeing Son Gohan return carrying a huge chunk of metal, Bulma asked curiously.
"Gohan, what's that?"
Son Gohan answered honestly, "Something I got from Supreme Kai. Apparently, it's the hardest metal in the universe."
As he spoke, he set the katchin down in the yard.
The ground immediately sank a considerable distance, leaving Bulma staring in shock.
"The hardest metal?"
Bulma walked over curiously and tapped it, sending a jolt of pain through her hand.
"Hiss!" She sucked in a sharp breath. "I've never seen a material like this. I don't think anything like it exists on Earth."
Son Gohan said, "This metal isn't just hard. It's incredibly dense too. A piece the size of a fist weighs about two hundred and fifty to three hundred kilos."
Bulma's eyes lit up, her expression that of someone who had discovered a whole new world.
New things always sparked her interest.
After walking inside, Son Gohan put the longsword on the table and said:
"Aunt Bulma, where did Trunks go? This sword is for him."
Unable to contain her curiosity, Bulma tried to pick up the sword on the table. But despite straining for quite some time, she couldn't budge the Hero's Sword.
Panting, she said, "Trunks went to East City to help out."
"East City? What did he go there for?" Son Gohan asked in confusion.
Bulma explained, "Well, Videl called earlier and said there was a serious incident in a town near East City. She was having trouble handling it and wanted your help."
"But you had guests, so I sent Trunks instead."
Son Gohan: ...
What's going on? You all have each other's contact details already? Why don't I have any?
Oh, right. I don't have a cell phone. Never mind, then.
"An incident Videl couldn't handle? What happened?" Son Gohan asked with a frown.
Among ordinary humans, Videl's fighting ability was already about as high as it got.
If even she couldn't handle it, had some aliens come to cause trouble again?
Bulma said, "Apparently, the mayor's daughter was kidnapped by a hundred-meter-tall gorilla. It climbed onto the roof of a building with her in its hand and is facing off against the Kingdom's forces."
Son Gohan: ...
Why does this plot sound so familiar?
Are they filming King Kong over there or what?
Son Gohan rolled his eyes, then said, "Since Trunks is already there, that little gorilla won't be causing much trouble.
"Aunt Bulma, please give him this sword. I'm going to the Supreme Kai Planet with Supreme Kai now."
Bulma paused. "The Supreme Kai Planet? When will you be back?"
"A day at the earliest, two or three at the latest. It won't be long."
"All right, then."
And so, Son Gohan hitched a ride with Kibito straight to the Sacred World of the Kai.
Thus, Son Gohan became the first mortal in tens of millions of years to set foot in the holy land of the Sacred World of the Kai.
In the Sacred World of the Kai, the sky was a pristine blue, lush divine vegetation filled his view, and even the breeze blowing toward him was rich with the breath of life.
Son Gohan felt every pore on his body open, greedily drinking in the fresh air.
With such abundant Vital Energy nourishing the place, even ordinary mortals could live longer here, while those who trained would achieve twice the results with half the effort.
It truly deserved to be called the Sacred Land of the Gods.
In a town near East City.
A gorilla over a hundred meters tall crouched on the roof of a skyscraper, holding a little girl in its hand and glaring fiercely at the helicopters flying back and forth overhead.
To it, those helicopters were as irritating as flies.
Hmph!
What's the big deal?
I just took a liking to a human girl and wanted her to be my wife. What's wrong with that?
Haven't they been promoting the freedom to love for ages?
These narrow-minded humans are driving me bananas.
I don't get it. I don't get it at all.
The girl in the gorilla's hand looked no older than thirteen or fourteen. She had shoulder-length black hair, two large, blinking eyes, and a very pretty face.
At that moment, tears streamed down the poor girl's face, making her look utterly pitiful.
Still, she was trying to reason with the gorilla.
"Boo-hoo... Gorilla, please let me go home, okay? Look at how different we are in size. We really aren't right for each other. I'm begging you."
The gorilla spoke in human language, and the foul stench bursting from its mouth nearly made the girl faint.
"No, no! My dad told me to be brave and pursue true love. I'm not giving up. I fell for you at first sight, and I want you to be my wife. I'll treat you really well. I get it! You're testing me right now, aren't you?"
"Boo-hoo... Could your dad have meant you should pursue a female gorilla? I'm human! A human! We're not even the same species. How could we be together? Please let me go. We really don't have a future."
Despite her young age, the girl spoke clearly and logically. Though her voice was choked with tears, she remained remarkably calm.
But the gorilla still shook its head. "My dad also said true love can transcend age and species. I believe you'll be moved by my love someday."
The girl rolled her eyes, inwardly cursing the stupid gorilla.
Aloud, however, she said, "Y-you're so big, and I'm so small. We can't have children."
"Huh? Why not? You're lying to me," the gorilla said in surprise.
"Why would I lie to you...?"
