Trunks stared in the direction the black-robed man had left, his gaze filled with conflicting emotions.
After a moment's thought, he took out his Communication Orb and contacted Son Gohan.
This was his real big brother Gohan.
"Hey, Trunks." Son Gohan's voice came through the Communication Orb.
Trunks's brow immediately relaxed, and his usual composure returned.
"Gohan," Trunks said, "I just ran into a masked Saiyan. His Ki was incredibly evil and could make people lose their minds. If you hadn't taught us the Purification Technique, I would have nearly fallen victim to him."
"Evil Ki?" Son Gohan asked. "Was he as big as Broly, with thick, long black hair?"
"Yes, exactly! Gohan, you really do know him. Who is he?"
"His name is Cumber," Son Gohan explained. "He's an ancient evil Saiyan from another timeline. Someone with ulterior motives must have revived him through some special means."
"A Saiyan from another timeline?" Trunks asked in confusion. "Why would a Saiyan from another timeline show up here?"
"That's exactly what I was about to tell you all," Son Gohan said.
"Trunks, something inexplicable has happened in our world. Perhaps because the world's laws and order have fallen into chaos, space-time has become warped and tangled, causing people from other timelines to enter our world."
"You aren't the only one who's encountered them. Our other friends have had similar experiences, so there's no need to be too alarmed."
Trunks froze, forcing himself to digest Son Gohan's words as quickly as possible.
"Gohan, there's something else I need to tell you," he continued.

"Just as I was about to finish Cumber off, a black-robed man appeared and rescued him," Trunks continued. "I suspect he was you from another timeline."
