At the Konoha Ninja Academy, Iruka was reporting on the situation at the school.
Today was the day Bai Ye would come to the Ninja Academy to make some announcements.
After taking office, every Hokage would visit the Ninja Academy to inspect it and share some of their ideas.
Of course, most of that involved the will of fire.
Originally, Bai Ye should have taken care of this before heading to Kirigakure.
But at the time, he had thought he could enroll the people he brought back from Kirigakure at the same time.
"All ready? Then let's wait a little longer."
"Wait a little longer?"
Iruka gave Bai Ye a puzzled look, growing increasingly confused.
What were they waiting for?
Was Bai Ye not planning to go out there?
"I sent some people over. They should be getting started soon. Let's see how much those three have improved lately before we show ourselves. Come with me."
As he spoke, Bai Ye stood up, and the people beside him followed.
Seeing this, Iruka gritted his teeth and went after them.
He was still completely bewildered, because he had no idea what Bai Ye was trying to do.
They went all the way backstage.
Through a gap, they could see the Ninja Academy students already waiting there.
Inside the hall.
Naruto was leaning back in his chair, bored. Staring at the ceiling, he asked, "Why isn't our teacher here yet? Say... have either of you seen him these past few days?"
He had actually aimed that question at Sasuke.
Naruto was simply too embarrassed to ask him directly.
After all, Sasuke belonged to the same clan as Bai Ye.
Surely he would know more about Bai Ye's whereabouts?
