This plan had taken care of one of Naruto's problems.
The tasks Bai Ye had assigned Naruto and the others were fairly basic. Since they were living in peacetime, much of this had never actually been taught.
Instead, some of their training amounted to playing ninja.
Letting them keep wasting time at the Ninja Academy would be a complete waste, not to mention a waste of his rewards.

If he wanted to use Impure World Reincarnation, there was one person he couldn't avoid... Orochimaru.
After all, whether it was Impure World Reincarnation or that mask belonging to the Uzumaki Clan, he needed Orochimaru to handle it.
He couldn't exactly put on the mask himself, then cut open his own belly to make the Reaper spit out the souls, could he?!
So whether he went with the Death God Mask or Impure World Reincarnation, finding Orochimaru was his best option.
He knew Orochimaru was currently in the Akatsuki.
Meanwhile, Bai Ye was trading with Konan while pretending he knew nothing.
Looking at it that way, he actually shouldn't rush.
First of all, Orochimaru would definitely leave the Akatsuki. Itachi had probably already joined by now.
It wouldn't be long. Once Orochimaru made a move against Itachi, he would leave.
Orochimaru couldn't get his hands on either the Rinnegan or the Sharingan. He had only joined to dig up information on the Akatsuki, and he couldn't get that either.
Naturally, he wouldn't be willing to stay in the Akatsuki.
That meant Bai Ye would have plenty of time to find Orochimaru later.
Contacting Orochimaru now would only put Konan on her guard.
