Standing amid six corpses, Yechen flicked his long blade and turned his gaze toward the other three Jonin.
Just then, he sensed a faint tremor beneath his feet. At first, he thought someone was secretly using an Earth Release Ninjutsu.
But as he lifted his feet off the ground and darted backward, a strange worm beast burrowed up from below.
It had neither legs nor tentacles, and fleshy lumps covered its entire body. It was none other than Matsui Shūichi's summoned beast, Bruno.
Of course, Yechen had no idea whose summoned beast this was. He only saw its eyeless head lock onto his position before its mouthparts opened toward him.
A powerful suction immediately tugged at him, threatening to swallow him whole.
"You ugly thing, you think you can swallow me?"
Yechen formed a Lightning Ball in his hand and hurled it straight at the beast.

Lightning exploded, blasting the worm beast away. It crashed heavily to the ground, a gaping wound torn through the mouthparts on its head, with faint currents of electricity still coursing through it.
After a few breaths, the lightning faded. The flesh around its mouthparts squirmed and rapidly returned to normal.
Yechen stared in disbelief. Was this thing an immortal worm?

After its flesh regenerated, its presence became incredibly weak. Another hit would probably leave it unable to regenerate.
Yechen was just about to attack when its mouthparts opened again and spat out a figure.
It was none other than Matsui Shūichi.
The sight of him immediately reminded Yechen of the person who had been spying on him over the past few days.
Sure enough, the moment Matsui Shūichi appeared, Yechen's suspicions were confirmed.
Matsui Shūichi shouted toward the Rock Ninja.
