Yechen appeared at the edge of the battlefield.
A clamor immediately reached him from the fighting. At the sight before him, Yechen smiled.
With a turn of his palm, the Flowing Shadow Thrust appeared in his hand, and he charged into the battlefield.
"Aaargh!"
Screams rang out one after another.
Yechen wielded the Flowing Shadow Thrust like a long sword, cutting down a Kirigakure ninja with every stroke and swiftly reaping their lives.
After killing one man, he grabbed the corpse and hurled it at a Kirigakure Special Jōnin in the distance.
Indeed, after killing more than a dozen men along the way, he had already approached the center of the battlefield. Spotting an enemy Special Jōnin, he swung the body and threw it like a ball.
Before the Special Jōnin could react, his companion's corpse struck him squarely. With a thud, he fell into the water, still looking utterly bewildered.
"Which rotten bastard threw a corpse at me?"
He had barely poked his head out of the water when a cold gleam flashed past and blood spurted. Before he could climb out, he sank back into the water, dead for good.
Yechen's slaughter did not stop. Before long, twenty-six Kirigakure ninja had died at his hands, including six Special Jōnin. The rest were Chunin.
His arrival finally drew everyone's attention.
The Konoha ninja found someone to rally around, regained their momentum, and began to counterattack.
For a time, the situation shifted again, and the two sides became evenly matched.
Just as Yechen cut down another Special Jōnin, a figure interrupted his assault.
The Kirigakure ninja's clothing looked familiar, as though Yechen had seen it somewhere before.
"Uchiha Ye Chen, I heard you killed that worthless Jintianwu. Now let me see what you're capable of!"
