"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Several Konoha Ninja unleashed Wind Release, trying to disperse the white mist. Being surrounded by it would put them at a serious disadvantage.
In an instant, fierce winds roared.
With their combined efforts, the white mist along their route was blown away.
To their surprise, the mist they had just dispersed quickly gathered again. Clearly, the enemy had come prepared.
Just as they were about to unleash Wind Release again, the enemy denied them the chance.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...!
A series of sharp whistles cut through the air. Moments later, a dense barrage of kunai flew out of the white mist, hurtling toward their ship from every direction.
A closer look revealed explosive tags tied to the ends of many of the kunai.
Clearly, the enemy intended to destroy their ship.
Realizing this, Yechen immediately roared,
"Everyone, intercept the kunai! Don't let them destroy the ship!"
They were still more than an hour from their destination. If the ship were destroyed, they could certainly run the rest of the way, but that would consume a tremendous amount of energy. How would they carry out the battle afterward?
Not everyone possessed Yechen's strength, allowing him to fight for days without exhausting his energy. After all, he could constantly absorb heaven and earth spiritual energy to replenish his reserves.
The others were different. Their energy reserves were limited to begin with, and most of the Konoha Ninja accompanying him were only at Chunin or Genin level. Making them run such a long distance would be asking far too much of them!
For their sake, the ship could not be destroyed.
Everyone immediately sprang into action. Some threw kunai to intercept the barrage, while others used ninjutsu, focusing on the kunai carrying explosive tags.
