After waiting a little longer without seeing anyone come out, Yechen decided not to waste any more time.
He first used the Thousand Faces Illusion Technique to take on Obito Uchiha's appearance, then activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and walked straight toward the Hokage Building.
He had chosen Obito's appearance as a precaution, to avoid anyone seeing his real face. Besides, Obito frequently came and went from Konoha, so a visit to the Hokage Building was hardly out of the question.
Obito also possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan, which would spare him a great deal of trouble.
Passing through the entrance, Yechen walked straight into the mission hall.
Only a few Anbu Ninja were on duty at the time. The sight of the black-robed figure immediately put them on alert.
Before they could speak, their minds grew hazy one after another. They had fallen under Yechen's genjutsu.
He strode brazenly up to the second floor.
There were several meeting rooms here where the Hokage gathered people for meetings, along with a few reception rooms for entertaining important guests.
Yechen proceeded down the corridor. As he passed one meeting room, he paused briefly and turned to look at it.
The meeting rooms in the Hokage Building were exceptionally well soundproofed. Even with his keen hearing, he could not hear a thing.
That did not stop him from sensing several powerful presences inside.
Two of those presences were familiar: Minato Namikaze and Hiruzen Sarutobi.
