Hatake Ziyan looked at Naruto in surprise. This guy was famous for being oblivious. What had gotten into him? Had Shikamaru possessed him?
Apparently, having his parents around had helped Naruto's intelligence develop!
Hatake Ziyan rubbed his chin as a thought suddenly struck him. Could the idiot Naruto I knew in my previous life have eaten so much junk food that it fried his brain?
After all, both his father, Minato, and his son, Boruto, seemed pretty sharp!
Still, Japanese anime protagonists all seem to have a habit of being oblivious!
Just look at Naruto, Luffy, and Goku! They're all oblivious!
Could being oblivious actually help with training?
Then wouldn't this smarter Naruto fail to reach the heights he originally did?
Hatake Ziyan quickly shook his head. His thoughts had wandered too far!
Although Naruto's words had brought most of them to their senses, Sakura only had eyes for Sasuke. Why would she care what Naruto said?
She still wore an expression that said, I don't believe it. This is all his fault!
"I'll ask you one more time! Are you quitting?" Hatake Ziyan asked again, looking at the silent Sakura.
When Hatake Ziyan spoke again, his voice had grown a few degrees colder!
Sakura shuddered. Seeing Sasuke staring at Naruto with a disgruntled expression, she gritted her teeth, lifted her broad forehead, and told Hatake Ziyan, "That's right! I'm quitting!"
The blade at Hatake Ziyan's waist flashed out of its sheath and came to rest against Sakura's neck. Its keen edge cut her skin even with that light contact!
"I already told you. Once I've chosen you, you either finish my training or die! Since you're quitting, I'll grant you death!" Hatake Ziyan said, holding the sword in his right hand as he looked at Sakura.
