Yan then turned and left, heading to an inn where two people were already waiting for him!
"Neither of you had a tail when you came here, did you?" Yan asked them.
"Absolutely not, Lord Yan!" Both men shook their heads!
Hatake Ziyan: That's true. No one noticed these two except me! I can vouch for them!
"Good! Konoha's sudden operation caught us off guard! Though I noticed it in time, I still couldn't warn everyone. How many were captured?" Yan asked.
"Lord Yan, five were captured, but they were all bottom-level operatives. We recruited them in the names of other ninja villages, so they all think they're spies for other villages. They won't expose us!" one of them told Yan.
"Good! It's been almost a month since we reported to the organization. They must be getting anxious. Find a chance to leave the village tomorrow and report on the situation here!" Yan instructed them.
"Yes, Lord Yan!"
"All right! That's it for today. Keep a low profile and leave!" Yan gave the order, then left first!
Watching them head off in separate directions, Hatake Ziyan sent word to Shikamaru and the others, telling them to capture the men outside the village. As for Yan, Hatake Ziyan had no intention of making a move against him just yet.
Hatake Ziyan watched Yan weave through turn after turn, evading nonexistent pursuers, before returning to the room from earlier. His skin rapidly wrinkled, and he once again took on the appearance of a frail, trembling old man.
Disguised as the old man, Yan pretended that the excitement had been too much for his body to bear. He opened the door and walked out.
