"But! But!" Hearing Hatake Ziyan's words, Minato desperately wanted to argue, but he couldn't think of a good reason to refute him.
Just as Hatake Ziyan had said, since they had chosen to become shinobi, they should have expected to face powerful enemies! They should have expected that they might die because of it!
"What? Can't think of a way to argue with me? If they were ordinary people, I would naturally step in. After all, they're my friends or members of the younger generation! So, unless you have a better reason, please leave!" Hatake Ziyan swept his sleeve, lifting Minato Namikaze to his feet!
Seeing how resolute Hatake Ziyan was, Minato stared at him with an ashen face before turning his gaze to Hatake Sakumo.
Sakumo looked at Minato, then at his uncle, and sighed. He had figured it out: his uncle was doing this deliberately. It wasn't that he truly refused to help, or he wouldn't have stood here arguing with them. He was simply angry and didn't want to act!
"Uncle Ziyan, please tell us your conditions! What do we have to do before you're willing to help us?" Sakumo asked Hatake Ziyan.
"Hmm?" Hatake Ziyan stared at Sakumo until his skin crawled. Just as Sakumo was about to break the silence, he said, "What do you mean by that? Are you suggesting that I'm refusing to act because I want something from you in return? Aren't you looking down on me a little too much? Besides, what do you have that I don't?"
Hatake Ziyan's words left Sakumo stunned. Blunt as they were, there was nothing wrong with them. With his unparalleled strength and standing, Hatake Ziyan lacked nothing!
"Enough! Go back to the battlefield! Let them think for themselves about how to deal with Madara!"
