Hatake Ziyan nodded and said, "Your life is in my hands. What's wrong with asking a few questions in return?"
Yan looked at Hatake Ziyan, inwardly cursing him to hell and back. How could this old bastard have so many tricks up his sleeve?
"Fine! I'll tell you!" After a moment of silence, Yan realized there was no getting out of this today. He looked into Hatake Ziyan's eyes and said, "I hope you keep your word! Once I tell you, you have to let me leave!"
Hatake Ziyan nodded without saying anything.

Watching Yan act so cautiously, Hatake Ziyan found it strange. Could someone actually overhear their conversation here, right in front of him?
"Then how many subordinates do you have in Konoha?" Hatake Ziyan asked again, looking at Yan.
"What are you trying to do? Didn't you promise to let me leave once I answered that question?" Yan roared angrily when Hatake Ziyan questioned him again.
Hatake Ziyan blinked at Yan and asked in apparent confusion, "When did I promise that?"
"You... you..." Yan pointed at Hatake Ziyan's nose, too furious to speak.
Didn't you just nod? How could you go back on your word? Don't you have any dignity as a powerful fighter?
Hatake Ziyan looked at Yan with an innocent expression. "What about me?"
"Hatake Ziyan! Didn't you just nod in agreement? How could you go back on your word?" Yan roared hysterically.
Hatake Ziyan pointed at his own nose, looking as though he had no idea what was happening. "Me? I nodded because I agreed that what you said was right! I wasn't agreeing to your request!"
