Black Zetsu laid the unconscious Makoto Uchiha on the cold stone bed, then walked straight over to Madara.
Madara opened his eyes. He had been waiting for news from Black Zetsu all along, because the outcome would determine every step of his next plan.
As he spent longer and longer asleep, Nagato had gradually slipped beyond his control. If this continued, his plans would be thrown into complete disarray. He even doubted whether Black Zetsu would be capable of getting Nagato to revive him after his death.
