The Concealment Stone Vein lay south of Dawn City, neither far away nor particularly close. In the end, the City Lord agreed to accompany Su Jiu there the next day. The Stone Spirit truly posed little danger now, so there was no harm in letting her take a look.

That night, the two of them stayed at the City Lord's Residence.

Deep into the night, Yun Huanling slowly opened his eyes and quietly took out the Compass. He suspended Senior Brother Tian's Storage Bracelet above the Formation Disk once again. As he murmured something, the needle of the Nine-Bend Compass began spinning wildly, until it finally settled on the south.

Remembering what the City Lord had said during the day, Yun Huanling looked at the bracelet, sorrow rising unbidden across his face. The Compass told him that Senior Brother Tian's remains lay to the south-right in that Concealment Stone Vein.

If this was no coincidence, then Senior Brother Tian had almost certainly died at the Stone Spirit's hands.

Yun Huanling's gaze darkened. No matter what, he had to bring Senior Brother Tian's remains back to their sect.

Meanwhile, Su Jiu had not entered meditation either. She took out the Black Stone she had won at the Auction House that day and tried probing it with spiritual energy. Yet no matter how she examined it, it remained an ordinary stone.

The corner of her mouth twitched. Just as she was about to toss the stone back into her Storage Ring, the Flower Bud growing in her Sea of Consciousness began trembling again.

Su Jiu transmitted her voice through her divine sense. "Shaking won't help. My Sea of Consciousness isn't a storage space. I can't send things in there to you."

The Flower Bud could not speak and merely shook its leaves.
