The green was brilliantly vivid, so lush it seemed ready to drip. A single glance revealed the dense Wood Element spiritual qi within it, along with the life force of the surrounding vegetation.

And so, trapped within the array, the witless corpse puppet had the yin qi it depended on stripped away layer by layer. Its attacks grew weaker and weaker, posing less and less of a threat to Yun Huanling.
Watching the corpse puppet gradually weaken, Yun Huanling had long since lost his earlier panic. He had even grown a little cocky.
He controlled the array as he laughed. "Aren't you supposed to be powerful? Come hit me, then! Come hit me! Come hit me!"
The corpse puppet stared with its green eyes, clawing incessantly at the barrier Yun Huanling had erected.
"Aren't you so powerful? Come chase me again, then!"

For some unknown reason, the corpse puppet's eyes abruptly turned red, and someone suddenly raised its strength a notch. When its sharp claws struck the array again, a fine crack appeared in the barrier.
As though something had lodged in his throat, Yun Huanling's arrogant taunts instantly died away.
Once a crack appeared in the barrier, it would spread into a larger one.
