Su Jiu was like rootless duckweed, drifting through this void for who knew how long.
Until one day, a childish voice called out to her, "A Jiu, A Jiu."
The voice seemed close, yet also far away. She could even hear that call of "A Jiu" echoing through the void for a long time.
"Who are you? Where are you?" Su Jiu looked around, but still could not see anything.
Another long stretch of time passed-so long that Su Jiu thought the voice would never answer.
"Who am I? In your mind, you seem to like calling me Flower Bud."
Su Jiu froze. Was it that flower bud that had inexplicably settled in her Sea of Consciousness and never bloomed?
It seemed to hear Su Jiu's thoughts and sounded a little unhappy. "I can bloom."
That sulky, childlike voice seemed to draw a smile from Su Jiu.
"As long as there's enough spiritual qi, I'll bloom."
Su Jiu still could not see it, but this void felt very comfortable. Somehow, she felt that nothing could hurt her here.
Su Jiu's last waking memory had ended in that terrifyingly silent dungeon. She did not know how long she had stayed there, only that it had been a very, very long time. When her awareness gradually became clear again, she was here.
When she had first regained consciousness, her soul had been so weak it was nearly transparent, as though it might dissipate the next instant. Only after she had spent a long time here had her soul begun to solidify.
Su Jiu stretched out her hand, spreading her five fingers. Now, she could no longer see through the back of her hand to the other side. But remaining in Soul Body form was no solution. There were still many things outside
