Deep in the jungle on Peace City's western outskirts, the area around an unremarkable cave was utterly quiet. Whenever birds or beasts happened past and sensed the extreme baleful aura emanating from within, they flapped their wings or scrambled away on their legs.
Their instincts told them this place was dangerous.
Many stronger demon beasts lurked at a distance, watching the cavern from afar. They silently sharpened their claws, seemingly planning to deliver a fatal blow the moment whatever was inside emerged. They felt their territory had been invaded.
Yet no matter how long they waited, that fellow never appeared. Worse still, they sensed that the yin baleful aura that occasionally spilled out was steadily disappearing! Even the cave entrance was fading.
Some demon beasts that had gained intelligence could not help rubbing their eyes hard with their thick claws.
The cave entrance really was disappearing!!!
Or, more precisely, the entrance was turning into a mountainside...
After barely a dozen breaths, the entrance vanished completely.
Several powerful demon beasts leaped out first and charged straight toward the entrance that had become a stone wall. They circled it again and again, and some even touched the spot where the entrance had been with their claws.
It was undoubtedly solid rock. Confusion filled the beasts' eyes. Had all of them been seeing things just now?
One demon beast seemed unwilling to accept it and spat a ball of fire toward the former cavern entrance.
A gray-black patch immediately appeared on the mountainside, but nothing unusual happened...
The demon beasts waited around the stone wall for a long time. Only when an even stronger pressure descended did they reluctantly leave.
