The moment Su Jiu spoke, both the surrounding magma and the Cloudborn Beasts attacking her froze briefly. The entire scene flowing before her eyes flickered.
In that instant, Su Jiu clearly saw everything before her turning transparent.
But it lasted for less than the blink of an ordinary person's eye before everything solidified again, as though all she had just seen had been a hallucination born of her own conjecture.
Su Jiu resisted the Cloudborn Beasts' attacks while carefully considering the situation.
Magma and rocks filled this place, along with Demon Crows and Cloudborn Beasts leaping out of bubbles in the magma. The only thing that stood out was the cavern not far away.
The cavern was pitch-black, and even her otherworldly eyes could not see through it to discern what lay inside. That did not stop Su Jiu from regarding it with suspicion and forming guesses.
If she remembered correctly, she had been flying toward that cavern when the Magic Beasts emerging from the magma intercepted her.
Did that mean the key to breaking this illusion realm lay inside the cavern?
Even as her thoughts raced, Su Jiu did not forget the three Cloudborn Beasts before her.
Of course, Su Jiu was clearly at a disadvantage now. The three Cloudborn Beasts could attack without restraint, but she could not use her arts with equal abandon to defend herself here.
