The Blood Demon Magic Beast was every bit as disgusting as the books described.
A streak of Sword Qi flashed from Su Jiu, and the Blood Demon Magic Beast screamed as though scorched, splitting in two. Before long, however, the two lumps of bloody flesh fused back together.
Su Jiu was inwardly startled. Was this an undying monster?
The disciples of the Heavenly Secret Sect, meanwhile, looked at Su Jiu as though their savior had arrived and hurried to hide behind her. None of them seemed to realize how shameful it was for several grown men to hide behind a young girl.
The corner of Su Jiu's mouth twitched. She could not help thinking of Yun Huanling. Was cowardice passed down through the Heavenly Secret Sect's lineage, too?
Soon, however, she had no attention to spare for them.
A slit opened in the middle of the Blood Demon Magic Beast's body, widening steadily until she could see four densely packed rows of teeth inside. It looked ready to swallow her whole.
Su Jiu poured spiritual qi into Purple Ultimate. Blue light flashed from the blade, and a streak of Sword Qi, seamlessly blended with sword intent, shot straight into the Blood Demon Magic Beast's gaping, blood-red maw.
That strike was anything but light.
The Blood Demon Magic Beast let out an even louder wail than before. Yet it soon began showing signs of healing again.
Looking at the red liquid spilled across the ground, Su Jiu remembered that blood was also a liquid. She gathered the ice spiritual qi around her and froze the Blood Demon Magic Beast into a block of blood-colored ice. The two lumps of flesh, still only half fused together, looked particularly revolting. With a sweep of her sleeve, she shattered the block of blood-colored ice.
