After Mo Yan and Mo Zhu helped Su Jiu deal with those law enforcement officers, a few other things had happened.
While Su Jiu was still aboard the ship, she had privately asked Mo Qi whether she wanted to return to the Mo Household with Mo Yan and the others. Mo Qi had flatly refused. After all, she barely knew anyone in the Mo Household, and Mo Tianyu was the only person she was looking for. She had no intention of becoming close to any of the others.
She only wanted to see what kind of man Mo Tianyu was, to have occupied her mother's thoughts for a lifetime.
Before disembarking, Mo Yan had also approached Su Jiu and asked whether she wanted to leave with them through a nearby Teleportation Array. After all, the forests on Nameless Island were rather dangerous at night.
With Mo Qi in mind, Su Jiu had declined.
Neither man had pressed her. They said goodbye and left. Before leaving, however, Mo Zhu had glanced at Mo Qi several more times, feeling that he had seen the girl's face somewhere before.
He had never expected them to meet again so soon.
A series of knocks sounded at the Mo Household's main gate.
When the gatekeepers opened it, they found an unfamiliar young woman who looked about twenty. One of them thought her delicate features seemed familiar, and confusion crept onto his face as he studied her.
"You are?"
Mo Qi's expression was cool, and a trace of coldness edged her voice.
The two men heard her say, "I'm looking for Mo Tianyu."
One of the gatekeepers had only joined the Mo Household a few years ago, so he had never heard that name.
