Su Jiu had no idea how much time had passed. She only felt as though her body was about to fall apart.

She had awakened amid a field of wreckage, utterly bewildered as to what day or year it was. After moving her stiff limbs, she turned and saw the wrecked ship lying a short distance away.

There seemed to be wreckage from other ships nearby as well. Su Jiu walked over to it and discovered quite a few human skeletons mixed in.

She scanned her surroundings and found that, apart from this pile of wreckage, the path behind her was the only way out. Moreover, the spiritual qi here seemed unusually dense-far denser than that of the Azure Mist Continent, at least.

Su Jiu was puzzled. Weren't they supposed to be inside a fish's belly? Yet nothing about this place looked like one. The inside of a fish should mostly have been soft. Even if there were no fish bones to be seen, the ground should not have consisted entirely of hard sand and stone. And did this fish never move?

She walked along the shore for a while and finally found two others who, like her earlier, were unconscious.

Su Jiu hurried over and shook them. "Yun Chao, Yun Huanling, wake up!"

Both were in a sorry state. They had probably been lying on this shore for quite some time. Though their hair was disheveled, their clothes were already mostly dry.

Su Jiu checked their pulses. Yun Chao was all right, but Yun Huanling had suffered fairly serious injuries from the impact.

Their spirit roots were different, so she did not dare recklessly channel spiritual qi into Yun Huanling. She merely fed him a Minor Restoration Pill and waited for him to awaken and regulate his own breathing.
