But now...
Su Jiu ground her back teeth.
Su Jiu glanced at the woman still rubbing against her. With a sigh, she took an All-Healing Pill from her Storage Ring and pushed it into Shen Qingyue's mouth.
Shen Qingyue's mind immediately cleared a little. When she realized she was pressed against Su Jiu, she hurriedly stepped back twice. She lowered her head, her expression shifting unreadably.
But the Entwined Branches were truly potent. Shen Qingyue did not hold out long before growing dazed again.
Seeing her about to sidle over again, Su Jiu's lips twitched, and she moved farther away.
Why did Shen Qingyue seem so fixated on her? Plenty of people were closer, yet in her unconscious state, Shen Qingyue seemed to have set her sights on Su Jiu alone.
Wherever she went, Shen Qingyue managed to follow.
Tong Qi had been laughing for quite some time. Out of consideration for a fellow disciple, he finally decided not to keep standing idly by.
He fixed Shen Qingyue in place with an Immobilizing Talisman, then checked her pulse. His expression grew slightly grave.
Su Jiu frowned. "What poison did she get hit with?"
Tong Qi shook his head. "I can't detect it."
Hearing this, Su Jiu reached out to check Shen Qingyue's pulse herself.
A trace of surprise crossed her face. There really were no signs of poisoning. Although neither Su Jiu nor Tong Qi was proficient in medicine or poison arts, as cultivators, they could still recognize the basic symptoms of poisoning.
To learn more about Shen Qingyue's condition now, they would have to probe deep into her meridians, perhaps even enter her Sea of Consciousness.
But neither Su Jiu nor Tong Qi had any close connection to Shen Qingyue, and neither could do something so intimate with her.
