The next four mirrors depicted another four extinct species of Demon Beast.
Su Jiu had only ever seen portraits of these four Demon Beasts in ancient texts.
"Huh? I could still name the ones in those last two mirrors. What are these two?"
Even Yun Huanling had never seen them, which showed just how much knowledge of them had been lost.
Su Jiu glanced at the leopard-like Demon Beast carved on the door to the left. "This is a Zouyu."
"The Zouyu looks incredibly ferocious, but it actually has the gentlest temperament of these four Demon Beasts. It doesn't eat people, only the carcasses of dead animals. Even so, its offensive power must not be underestimated."
After all, it was an ancient Demon Beast. Who knew how much truth there was to the traits recorded in books, or how many traits unknown to humanity remained hidden?
"As for the other door, the creature carved on it is a Bear Demon. This kind of Demon Beast is closer to a bear, with a longer head and legs and immense strength. Its roar can deliver a devastating shock to a cultivator's divine sense."
Yun Huanling's expression shifted. "Roughly what tier is it?"
"If we're lucky, the one we encounter might be late sixth tier."
Su Jiu stopped there, but everyone understood what she had left unsaid. If being lucky meant encountering a late sixth-tier beast, what if they were unlucky?
But now that they had come this far, were they supposed to give up?
All three turned to look behind them. Mirrors lined the long corridor everywhere, and since they had left no special markings, they could no longer remember the route they had taken.
If they chose to wander aimlessly now, they would only end up trapped in this mirror maze
