There was nothing dramatic about the way it crawled out of the deep pit.
It simply surged upward.
Like overcooked meat stew bubbling up from the bottom of a pot, thick and slow, accompanied by nauseating wet sounds. First, that enormous pale hand climbed fully over the edge, then a second, a third, a seventh.
Then came the torso.
No. That was no torso.
It was a mountain of flesh.
A mass of piled biomass over ten meters tall squeezed its entire bulk out of the abyss, forcing the edges of the Training Ground platform apart. It had no bones, no symmetry, no shape that conformed to any biological logic. Hundreds of mutilated human faces were embedded in its surface, each frozen in the agony of the final moment before it was devoured. Their sockets held no eyes. Their mouths hung open, their tongues reduced to stumps.
Thick fleshy arms grew out in every direction. Some still retained the shape of human fingers; others had degenerated into cylinders without joints. Their numbers kept increasing, squeezing out of the mountain's sides one after another like budding growths.
Yaha stood twelve meters away, sweeping his dead-fish crimson eyes over it.
The System Panel opened in the corner of his vision. This time, the font was normal and the tone calm.
``` [Target analysis: Entity contained within Muzan's Seventh Layer Seal. An amalgamation of the first failed demonization experiments from a thousand years ago. Vast quantities of uncontrolled cells devoured and fused with one another within the sealed space, forming its current shape. Cannot be completely destroyed. Cannot be controlled. Therefore sealed away permanently.]
[Core information: Its demon core region contains a portion of Muzan's most primitive progenitor cells. Destroying the core will cause Muzan's true body to suffer bloodline backlash.]
