Saint Saturn and Saint Nusjuro's unexpected attempt to "make peace" left Gern and Sengoku, who were locked in "fierce" combat, momentarily stunned. They nearly broke character.
What's gotten into these two old bastards? A flicker of confusion crossed Gern's mind.
They're actually afraid he'll defect? Looks like the Five Elders aren't idiots... Sengoku's thoughts raced as well.
But the show had to go on!
Sengoku immediately suppressed his stray thoughts. His enormous golden Buddha body erupted with even more dazzling light, as though his "rage" had driven him to unleash his full strength.
He suddenly leaped up, then descended like a golden meteor. A massive shock wave gathered in his enormous palm once again as he brought it crashing down toward Gern's head:
"You stubborn fool! Today, I'll teach you what military discipline means!"
At the sight, a flash of "ferocity" crossed Gern's eyes. He seemed ready to resist with everything he had, but the instant the shock wave reached him-
He "conveniently" withdrew most of his defensive power, as though his strength had given out.
Boom!!!
The golden shock wave struck him squarely. Gern grunted, and his body was sent flying like a kite with its string cut!
Yet his trajectory deftly carried him deeper into the Land of the Gods.
"Bastard! Don't think you can escape!" Sengoku "roared," immediately pursuing him with enormous strides.
The two continued their "chase," their "battle" raging fiercely. Shock waves and tremor aftershocks flew everywhere, plowing through the ruins along their path once more.
And through their seemingly aimless movements, their battlefield kept steadily advancing toward the heart of the Land of the Gods!
At this rate, it wouldn't be long before these two men took their battle straight into the gardens of the Celestial Dragons' mansions!
