There, he would use the terrain and his remaining strength to make one final, desperate stand, creating enough chaos.
Then, at the critical moment, he would exploit that brief opening to teleport onto the Thousand Sunny moored on the eastern shore.
With the Thousand Sunny's maneuverability, they would stand an excellent chance of shaking off pursuit and sailing away.
