This book has finally reached this point.
Thank you to every reader who likes this book and has been willing to read this far.
Thank you all!
How should I put it? I know it myself: from the beginning until now, fifty thousand Chinese characters in, there haven't been many satisfying payoff moments.
There haven't been any scenes where the protagonist shows off his strength or proves himself invincible.
Even now, it's still like a chicken hot pot that hasn't managed to fire up yet. (Laughs.)
So the book's poor numbers were actually within my expectations.
After all, when it comes to fanfiction, those satisfying moments matter more than anything else. (I'm not saying my prose or anything like that is particularly good.)
But this is how I want to write it.
I think that even if you give the protagonist cheats, they still have to fit the basic rules of the world. They have to make sense.
That's just my personal preference. I feel that even with cheats, the logic and worldbuilding have to hold together.
After all, the protagonist doesn't have a system...
Fortunately, though, we've already milked the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well for everything it's worth, and the plot will turn back to Shrek next.
I've fired up!
Ahem, let's talk about something else.
This is technically my third book, but strictly speaking, it really counts as my first.
The first flopped so hard even its own grandma wouldn't recognize it. For the second, I got drunk and published it straight to Qidian. Those who know, know how that ended.
Then I started writing this Douluo fanfic.
I'm working a day job while writing, so I don't dare promise anything. All I can say is that I'll do my best to finish this book.
Consider it something I owe myself.
When I was eight, the first comic I ever encountered was Douluo, and that led me to the original novel.
After that, there was no stopping me.
Douluo Continent was my introduction to webnovels as a reader, and now it will also be my introduction to webnovels as an author.
It really does make you marvel at what a huge circle life is.
All right, that's enough reminiscing.
The VIP volume starts next.
This book launched on QQ Reading, so its free period is very short. If you're reading this on Qidian, dear readers, you could get a QQ Reading membership. It's still very good value for money.
Last but not least, thank you once again, dear readers, for liking this book!
