Unfortunately, this method was not particularly useful elsewhere in the Nightmare World. Most places outside Fog City were steeped in the Red Moon's power, just like the players. Whether it was an anomalous entity, a building elsewhere in the Nightmare World, or even a blade of grass by the roadside, everything contained the Red Moon's power, sometimes in greater concentrations than players who had only just entered the Nightmare World.
Perhaps because the anomalous entity that had created Fog City possessed a unique and terrifying power, however, this city surrounded by thick fog seemed truly cut off from the world. Its residents, buildings, flowers, and plants all seemed exceptionally pure, untouched by the Red Moon's power.
That was what allowed Su Bai to easily sense the difference between Fog City residents and outsiders.
So far, the only "Fog City resident" in whom Su Bai could sense the Red Moon's power was probably Mayor Bai, known in the Nightmare World as the "Fog City Lord." But sensing it was all he could do. With his current power, Su Bai still could not gauge the strength of the power Mayor Bai possessed.
Still, his senses worked perfectly well on the two new customers standing at the Mist Shop's entrance, their faces brimming with happiness. He could confirm that the woman was an ordinary Fog City resident with no power at all, while the man was an outsider-a player in the Nightmare World.
