The Ghost Creature that had possessed Xiao Xiaodie had said they once believed the mysterious being in the Mirror World had lost control because of hunger. They had encountered a starving Corpse Ghost before, and it, too, seemed to lose control when its hunger grew extreme, even giving off a bloody aura and violent malice that made other supernatural beings uncomfortable. Still, its intensity came nowhere close to that of the mysterious being in the Mirror World.
It was precisely because of that theory that the Ghost Creatures in the Mirror World had risked angering the mysterious being, or even making him lose control again. They had used their own malice to open the "mirror" and spread the blood of their chosen sacrifices throughout the Mirror World.
And now, the mysterious being sitting before the mirror claimed to belong to a race that "needed to consume blood to survive." Like merfolk such as Lorimas, he came from a civilization that had existed long, long ago, and, like humans, he was a living creature born of this world.
Although this being was probably on an entirely different level from things like Corpse Ghosts and Blood Ghosts, hunger might indeed have been the reason he lost control.
This being fed on blood, yet for some unknown reason, he had hidden himself in this isolated space surrounded by mirrors.
How long had he stayed here? Years? Decades? Or centuries?
A race that fed on blood could not possibly be free of the craving for it. It was precisely because he needed food, because he had endured hunger and thirst over those long years, that this being kept losing control from starvation.
Since Little Fire considered the bloody aura filling this place food, that aura must have become tainted by all the malice within
