Tan Ying was about to head up the stairs to the fourth floor when she heard Liang Yuyan's voice behind her. Perhaps because they were the only two women among the players taking part in this Nightmare Game, Tan Ying had quickly remembered this young woman who so deeply hated her ex-boyfriend.
"There doesn't seem to be a rule against visiting other rooms, but my 'Family Member' will be with me." Tan Ying gestured toward the Ghost Creature following her.
Although Tan Ying tried her best to stay calm and keep her emotions steady, she was actually under the same psychological pressure from the Strange Creatures as most of the other players. The Strange Creature following her was a Ghost Creature wearing burial clothes, with a face on both the front and back of its head. The two aged, deeply wrinkled faces seemed to belong to an elderly couple who called themselves Tan Ying's "parents." The "mother" appeared to be the one controlling the body.
Compared with the other players' "Family Members," Tan Ying's "Family Member" followed her constantly without getting too close. That hardly made her feel any better, though, because these "parents" always stood a few steps away, watching her and looking her up and down, murmuring about which parts of their daughter looked especially nice.
It sounded like a pair of elderly parents trying every way they could to praise their beloved daughter, but coupled with the unnerving gazes and tones of those two faces, their words sounded to Tan Ying like two Strange Creatures discussing which parts of her body would be the freshest and tastiest.
