The secretly recorded video seemed to have been shot on a phone. The handheld footage at the beginning was shaky and very dimly lit, probably filmed from some hidden corner that let in little light, leaving even the image unclear.
At first, it was still possible to tell that someone was standing opposite the injured person, helping record the video. The two even talked, going from laughter and teasing to concern and urging the injured person to seek medical attention. Then the person filming began to sound panicked, and their hands shook more and more violently.
After a cut, the previously shaky footage became steady, but the camera angle was now very low. The second person's voice was no longer heard in the video either. It seemed the original camera operator had left, leaving only the injured person sitting opposite the lens. The phone used to film also appeared to have been set up on a stand on the floor nearby.
The whole thing was as bizarre as a horror mockumentary.
By this point, the injured person on screen was curled up, wearing only a tank top and pants that had already been mostly torn to shreds. Every patch of exposed skin was covered in bloody scratches and even deeper wounds. Amid those crisscrossing injuries and bloodstains, patches of scales could faintly be seen all over their body!
The mention of scales brought all sorts of images to mind: beautiful koi swimming in a fish tank, the majestic forms of legendary dragons, or even the exquisite tails of merfolk in various works featuring humanlike creatures...
But the scales growing on the injured person in the video were nothing like that. They had no beautiful colors, only a dull, drab gray, and their distribution was completely uneven, with a patch here
