Those once-imposing figures now lay in utter disarray on the cold sheet-metal floor, their faces swollen beyond recognition, the pride and arrogance in their eyes utterly shattered. Their bodies trembled with pain, and the fear in their eyes was plain to see.
Su Bai did not pause. He simply continued forward with an indifferent expression, as though these fallen people meant nothing to him.
He had just taken the opportunity to question the researchers still in the Laboratory and learned where Qi Yan and the others had hidden the dead merfolk, so he headed toward the elevator.
