Chapter 271
The Bus continued across the Wilderness, heading aimlessly in one direction.
With no guidance whatsoever, everyone knew only that the North was their final destination. But no one knew which direction it lay in.
They could not even trust the sun.
Quite a few convoys were still roaming around outside, and they all had the same goal.
The Bus picked up speed, and Cheng Rong came to appreciate just how powerful this Curio was. It was a terrifying beast with no upper limit to its speed.
As its engine roared, everything outside the windows flashed past.
Inside, some rested while others sat in silence.
Only when the Bus gradually slowed down and finally stopped outside a small town did everyone snap out of it.
Bai Le promptly threw open a window, leaned out, and started vomiting.
He was not the only one. Wan Ying had long since reached her limit and joined him.
Cheng Rong, however, gripped the steering wheel in excitement, eager to keep driving. But they had been traveling for so long that everyone needed something to eat, so she had stopped beside the town.
Now look what had happened.
Seeing Bai Le and Wan Ying suffering from motion sickness, she scratched her head sheepishly.
"I didn't expect this Bus to be so fast."
"Cheng Rong, maybe you should stop driving from now on. I honestly felt like I nearly died."
Bai Le's face was deathly pale. Then he turned back and kept throwing up.
Just then, a crowd came running out of the town, charging out as though they had seen a ghost.
Everyone on the Bus immediately grew alert. Thinking an Aberration had appeared, they hurriedly prepared themselves.
But once the crowd came out, they gathered outside the town and looked around in terror.
