As for padding, I really dislike it. There is no need to fill the story with so much useless content. This isn't Qidian, and I don't need to squeeze paid reading credits out of anyone.
So when things need to move quickly, they should move quickly. When it's time to end, it's time to end.
This was also my first time writing an apocalypse novel, and there were plenty of things I didn't handle well. The fact that you all followed it this far was a real show of support.

This novel ends here. Although the ending was a little rough, I personally felt it was good enough.
The original plan was darker. Everyone died, and Gao Yue Xi was the one who ultimately achieved godhood.
But after a friend read it, he still couldn't understand Gao Yue Xi and said that ending would leave a terrible taste in readers' mouths. I had no choice but to slash away at it and make major changes.
The result was still acceptable. After all, the Gao Yue Xi I wrote was never really a villain.
