"Hello. Are you the new assassins?"

While Rhode and Lilia were still on the lawn by the manor entrance, looking around at the scenery, a woman wearing a veil approached them.

Unlike the two female assassins at the entrance, this woman carried no weapons.

Rhode gave a slight nod.

Then she said, "Please follow me inside for assassin registration."

That was all it took?

It seemed Ravenholdt Manor had great confidence in its own tests. Anyone who could make it into the manor was bound to be useful.

Fine, I'll sneak in and get myself an assassin qualification first. Once I'm one of them, it'll be easier to ask questions, right?

Lilia, of course, was even happier. She was going to be an assassin!

It felt far more impressive than registering as an Adventurer back in Southshore.

So Rhode took Lilia by the hand and walked straight into the manor.

Everything inside the manor was simple: lawns, stone paths across the lawns, and stone benches along their edges.

Along the way, they occasionally saw masked people chatting in twos and threes, but none paid any attention to Rhode and Lilia's arrival. They did not even bother looking up.

Then a tall building appeared before them. They entered what looked like an office, and the female registrar sat down at a desk.

"Your name, please." The registrar apparently specialized in registering newcomers. She held a sheep-hair brush, ready to write on a parchment scroll.

"My name is Rho... uh... Ronaldo," Rhode answered.

I probably shouldn't use my real name to register as an assassin.

"Ro... nal... do..." The registrar sounded it out as she wrote. "And your assassin code name?"

"Assassin code name?" Rhode did not understand.

The registrar pushed several parchment scrolls toward him.

Rhode tilted his head to look.
