Recommending a New Warcraft Fanfic: "The Tycoon of Stratholme"

The one-line pitch: an Azeroth version of "The Richest Man in Xihong City."

Why am I recommending this book? Because over a decade ago, after running a five-man dungeon with me, the author roped me into his guild as the main tank. That set me on a dark, miserable raiding career, followed by victories over C'Thun, Kel'Thuzad, Illidan...

So we were comrades-in-arms. Back then, I was a Warrior and he was a Priest. Hmm... does all that healing make you closer?

He was already writing novels back then and has kept at it ever since, so his influence was part of what got me to try writing books myself.

Oh, right, he also wrote another Warcraft fanfic before this, called "Stormwind Archmage."
