Sure enough, Lilia looked excited. She took her stance and said, "Here I come!"
"Come on." Jorach merely stood there casually.
They weren't far apart. Lilia judged the distance and didn't use Charge.
She stepped forward with her right foot, then brought her left foot up behind it. Seeing that her opponent hadn't moved, she raised her sword and delivered a diagonal slash. Naturally, it was parried. Clang! Her blade struck the sword he had lifted.
Lilia pulled her sword back and swept it sideways, only to be parried again. She followed with another strike, which was unsurprisingly blocked as well. Then came one, two, three... and many more. No matter how she tried to catch him off guard, he blocked everything with effortless ease.
Duke Jorach really was the most badass Rogue around.
His movements weren't as weighty and powerful as Thrall's, but they were clearly more skillful. Every parry looked almost effortless, yet it neutralized Lilia's attack with perfect precision.
Considering that a combat-oriented Rogue might be closer to a Warrior when it came to swordsmanship, perhaps Duke Jorach really was a more suitable teacher than Chen Stormstout...
