"Could we speak in private?" Rhode quickly stepped forward and pulled Amanenar a little to one side, putting some distance between them and the others.
He certainly couldn't let Arthas and the others say whatever they liked. If they angered this Necromancer and a fight broke out, his plan would be ruined.
"What is it?" Amanenar didn't quite understand Rhode's intentions, and his voice was full of wariness.
"We're all nobles from Stromgarde. We brought some soldiers out for a stroll to see if we could find a bit of fun." Rhode suddenly lowered his voice. "But I'm different. I've always wanted to learn powerful dark magic, so when I saw you, sir... I was incredibly excited."
Although there were High Elves and Night Elves in the party, human nobles traveling with elves was perfectly plausible.
With that, Rhode immediately swept his hand toward Arthas and the others, forming a thin wall.
It was a magical wall that blocked both sound and sight.
Rhode poked his head out and shouted to them, "I'm going to chat with this mage for a while. Wait there!" Then he ducked back inside.
He didn't want them thinking this Necromancer was up to something and charging over to ruin everything.
Amanenar looked at Rhode doubtfully. "Then why did you say you didn't believe me earlier...?"
"That was to keep up appearances. I certainly couldn't just reveal what I really thought," Rhode said.
Amanenar nodded slightly, but he still didn't seem entirely convinced.
Rhode held out both hands and widened his eyes, looking as though he were in great pain.
"What's wrong?" Amanenar had only just asked when he noticed a cloud of black smoke appearing in each of Rhode's palms.
The clouds grew larger and larger, and Amanenar began to sense the magical energy
