Rhode's words left Rivendare beside himself with rage.

He was a baron, a powerful local figure in Stratholme, and he had the Scourge backing him. How could he tolerate being treated with such contempt by Rhode?

Rivendare pointed at Lilia and sneered at Rhode. "Heh, is this attendant of yours what gives you your confidence? Perhaps she might not lose to Skul, but he isn't the only one I have!"

Rhode remained unconcerned. "Oh? You have more cards up your sleeve? Why not show them all at once?"

Rivendare glared at Rhode, then turned and gave Anastari a signal.

Anastari nodded and let out another long shriek. A thunderous voice immediately came from another side door. "Ah, fresh meat?"

Then came a series of enormous footfalls.

Every step was like a small earthquake!

Everyone looked over and saw a true monster.

If Skul still looked somewhat humanoid, this fellow was almost nothing but a mound of flesh.

His face was barely discernible. He seemed to be all flesh, towering and massive.

Yet he did not look entirely pieced together from chunks of flesh like an abomination. He looked more like an ordinary burly man reinforced and hardened with extra flesh.

"This is Ramstein the Gorger. You'll soon learn how formidable he is," Rivendare said smugly.

Norn looked a little startled. "Is this Ramstein, the rumored greatest warrior in the Stratholme region? How did he end up like this?"

"Well, Scourge technology. Doesn't it always turn out this damned way?" Rhode showed no surprise. He merely shrugged, then turned to Lilia. "Well? You beat those people earlier. Now I'm asking you to fight these two ghosts. Do you dare?"

Lilia hesitated, but finally straightened
